we donated nearly $3,000 to the Land Conservancy of SLO - May/June 2022

SLO’s only community-owned grocery store donates $2,862.33 to Land Conservancy of SLO as part of our ongoing 2% Tuesdays program. These donations support the land conservancy’s passion to find positive, mutually beneficial solutions to preserving the natural land of SLO County.

Designed to give back 2% of each Tuesday’s total sales to a worthy local nonprofit, the 2% Tuesdays program began in 2020 and has snowballed in popularity each month. Shoppers are also able to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar, which allows for the community to support the recipient directly.

The land conservancy’s mission is all about conserving, caring and connecting the community with the land. The land conservancy’s services reach far and wide, but preserved locations a local may be familiar with are Pismo Preserve and the Octagon Barn.

SLO Food Co-op is currently open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The team is happy to shop for customers who require a personal shopper during regular store hours.
